Hockey Championship Game!

So excited to have ALL of our 5th graders in the gym to cheer on the winning teams that played against the GT teachers/staff.  We (the teachers/staff) are still undefeated with a score of 6 to 1!!!!!  We appreciate all the stiffness and sore muscles the adults go through to get this done.  It is definitely a highlight for all of us every year 🙂

The Final Count Down!

School is just around the corner and we are planning and getting ready for the first day of school.   Just a reminder that all students need to have clean tennis shoes for P.E. class.  We would love for them to keep a clean pair in their locker.  This helps ensure that students are prepared for P.E.  Shoes do not have to be new, they just need to be clean!  Thanks for helping your child with this.   Do you have a pair that fits but are dirty, wash them up and bring them in!      See you soon!

Mileage Club Drawings

Mileage Club has come to an end once again.  Congratulations to our top 3 runners!!  Maverick in 3rd gr. Ms.VanderStels class ran 33 miles…Rogen in 2nd gr. Mrs. Basts class ran 32 miles and Gavin in Mrs. Basts class ran 31 miles…WOW!!!  Everyone who was outside jogging during those extremely hot and humid days deserves a HUGE high 5  🙂  Everyone that ran/walked 13 miles or more did earn a prize and the 20 milers or more got a popsicle party!

Bowling

K-5th grade started their bowling unit.  3rd-5th gr. learned how to take a 3 step approach and all students learned their cue words (push, swing, bowl, hello).   This week the students will learn how to keep score.  We are SO thankful to the Hudsonville Bowling Alley for the use of their lanes and bowling equipment.  All students will earn 3 free games at the alley when we complete the unit!!!  Here are a few pics 🙂
