Bowling FUN for PE CARES!

Mr. K’s 4th-grade class took 1st place in our PE CARES Challenge back in November and won a bowling field trip to Hudsonville Lanes.   Even though only one class got to go bowling our school has a whole gave over 8,000 items to Love your neighbor in Hudsonville.  That is incredible and we are proud of ALL our GT students for caring and supporting others!

A SPECIAL THANKS AND SHOUT OUT TO HUDSONVILLE LANES FOR ALLOWING US TO BOWL AND FOR THEIR SUPPORT IN OUR PE CARES FOOD DRIVE!  If you go bowling please make sure to thank them for their kindness and support!

Yay, Yay, Yay, Hudsonville families!!!! So thankful to all, that donated food items.  Love Your Neighbor (used to be Love Inc.) in Hudsonville came today and picked up 8,008 items!!!  This was a record for GT!!!!  Your kindness and generosity will help so many families in Hudsonville.  The class that brought in the most and earned a PE CARES t-shirt and bowling field trip to Hudsonville Lanes was Mr. Kooikers class.  A big thank you to Mrs. Wysocki’s class for loading the items.  Here are some pictures…

The annual P.E. C.A.R.E.S food drive will be starting on November 4. We are asking for your help by bringing in non-perishable food items for Love your Neighbor (previously Love Inc.) in Hudsonville.

Food items to consider are canned vegetables and fruits, pasta, rice, baked beans, black beans, kidney beans, peanut butter, tuna fish, etc. (please no ramen noodles, and please do not break apart packaged food)

The food drive will continue until Nov. 18.  We will be keeping track of how many items each class brings in.  The class with the most items brought in by NOON on Nov. 18 will win a P.E. C.A.R.E.S t-shirt and a bowling trip to Hudsonville Lane. (If allowed this year)

This is a great opportunity for our students to care for their community, to teach our kids compassion and love for others.  Thanks for sharing in this service project with us at Georgetown.

Can we just say WOW!   The support for the food drive was amazing!  We had our BEST YEAR EVER!  All together the GT students collected 4,817 items.   THANK YOU, THANK YOU!

What a blessing GT students have been to the Hudsonville community and Love INC.

Great job EVERYONE!

The top class with the most items brought in is, Mr. Kooikers 4th grade class.  Each student will receive a PE CARES t-shirt and get to go bowling at Hudsonville Lanes!!  Here are a few pictures..

2018 PE CARES

It’s that time of year again when we get to help other families in our Hudsonville area!!!  We are asking all of our GT families to consider donating non-perishable food items and they will all be given to Love Inc. in Hudsonville.  We start Friday Nov. 2 and we will collect until Friday Nov. 16 at noon 🙂 The class that brings in the most items will be given a thank you and traveling to the Hudsonville Bowling Lanes for a bowling party!!!! Thanks for your help.

Our annual P.E. C.A.R.E.S. Food Drive starts this Wed., November 1.  The Food drive will continue until November 16.  All the food collected will be given to Love Inc. in Hudsonville, which will help our local families.  Thanks for your help and support in this community service project, and for taking this opportunity to teach our kids compassion and love for others.

The class that bring in the highest number of items will win a PE CARES t-shirt and a bowling field trip to Hudsonville Lanes.

We are in the middle of our Nutrition month and discussing the 5 food groups and what we need to do to keep our bodies healthy!  We are also bringing in lots of food to help with PE CARES (collecting and regiving essential supplies).  K classes continue to work on underhand throw.  Here are a few pictures!

This week we started our annual PE CARES (Collecting and Regiving Essential Supplies) project. All students were asked to donate non-perishable food items to give to needy families in Hudsonville. We will keep collecting until Nov. 20. The class that brings in the most items will win a PE CARES t-shirt and get to have a bowling field trip to Hudsonville Lanes!!!! Thanks for all your help!!
