A big thank you goes out to Hudsonville Bowling Lanes. We got to use their carpet lanes again the month of March to teach all the students about bowling. We ended with some Crazy Bowl where the kids get very sweaty and have lots of fun! Here are a few pictures…

Kids Heart Challenge officially kicks off this coming week. You should have received a flyer on Friday 1/28/22. We will be discussing the information with the students this coming week. If you decide to donate to Kids Heart Challenge, prizes will be given to students only when they come to PE. This program will run from Jan. 31 until Feb. 18. Yay, Yay, Yay, Hudsonville families!!!! So thankful to all, that donated food items. Love Your Neighbor (used to be Love Inc.) in Hudsonville came today and picked up 8,008 items!!! This was a record for GT!!!! Your kindness and generosity will help so many families in Hudsonville. The class that brought in the most and earned a PE CARES t-shirt and bowling field trip to Hudsonville Lanes was Mr. Kooikers class. A big thank you to Mrs. Wysocki’s class for loading the items. We did stations in PE today of badminton, nutritionopoly, food group bingo and sorting foods into the 5 food groups. Love how the kids stay focused and tried their best with these groups. Here are some pictures:
Yay, we had all the students that signed up for Turkey Trot come down and take a group picture. Then we went outside to run a lap on our track!!! Here are some pictures 🙂

The annual P.E. C.A.R.E.S food drive will be starting on November 4. We are asking for your help by bringing in non-perishable food items for Love your Neighbor (previously Love Inc.) in Hudsonville.
Food items to consider are canned vegetables and fruits, pasta, rice, baked beans, black beans, kidney beans, peanut butter, tuna fish, etc. (please no ramen noodles, and please do not break apart packaged food)
The food drive will continue until Nov. 18. We will be keeping track of how many items each class brings in. The class with the most items brought in by NOON on Nov. 18 will win a P.E. C.A.R.E.S t-shirt and a bowling trip to Hudsonville Lane. (If allowed this year)
This is a great opportunity for our students to care for their community, to teach our kids compassion and love for others. Thanks for sharing in this service project with us at Georgetown.
Well, we started off with great sunny weather for soccer and now we can not seem to avoid the rain. We are finishing up our soccer unit this rotation and will have all of our fitness tests completed with the next rotation!!! That calls for a favorites day!!! Here are a couple pics of soccer 🙂
So excited we are back in the gym and ready to teach so many skills and activities to your kiddos!! Please if you haven’t by now, remember to send PE shoes (tennis shoes that stay inside school). They do not have to be new, just clean 🙂
