Along with our PE CARES we also teach a unit about nutrition. What we have to do as individuals to keep our bodies healthy. We discuss eating right (foods from the 5 different food groups) and being active ( 5 days a week with 60 minutes of activity). The pictures you are going to see are of students riding in their “scooter car” going to the grocery store and picking out food items from the five different food groups. The kids had a riot and learned a lot too! Just a reminder, PE CARES is finished tomorrow, Fri. Nov.16
Starting Nov. 2-17 we will be collecting canned and non-perishable food items to help needy families in the Hudsonville area. P.E. C.A.R.E.S stands for collecting and re-giving edible supplies. The class that donates the most items will receive a P.E. CARES T-shirt and a special bowling field trip to Hudsonville Lanes with their physical education teacher.
